Police Checks

As Christmas party season is upon us.....
I saw my first spot check of the season this morning on my commute.
It is often those people who should have said NO to that last drink or two that will come unstuck!
I lost track of time last year at our work's do and found myself drinking Southern Comfort at 1.30am (due in work at 8am following day).
A bit woozy at 7am, I put myself on the train. But many dont I suspect.

I`m surprised that there aren`t more police doing spot checks around airports. There are an awful lot of people who drink on flights and then go to the car park to get their car and drive home. They think because they have had a few hours` sleep on the plane, that they`re OK.

I hope that the Plods catch as many people as possible in the next few weeks. That way there will be few less drunken drivers on the road, for 2014 at least, thus making us all safer
