How Sad Is This ?

We take Reeva to a doggy playgroup on a Saturday which is run by a friend of mine , a couple of weeks ago she played with two black labs , it was the first time I had seen them or their owners. We chatted to the owners for a while about the dogs etc. Tonight I have found out that they took them out last night, put them to bed and when they got up this morning they were both dead ! I am totally devastated for them. It seems they have both been poisoned .How can people be so cruel as to do this to animals . The owners must be distraught !

Hi Tilly all I know is that they took them out for their walk last night and let them off the leads in a field as usual and they had both died through the night. Totally shocked by this and so upset for them.

Could I ask in what area you live? There are cases of illegal poisoning of birds of prey where dead squirrels, rats etc are laced with poison. Dogs and cats get caught up with this which is as sad as the death of a raptor

That's terrible jasmine,it's bad enough to lose your pets through natural causes let alone like this.Over the last few years we've had several spells of this sort of thing in the local woods and the police are still none the wiser.

How awful for the dogs and the owners. We can only hope that the dogs didn't suffer too much. :(

My God, I don't know how I'd cope if that happened to my lovely dog. How utterly sad. Poor people, poor dogs. And even sadder still, they'll probably never know who did it.

search the field for evidence, talk to field owners & prosecute those responsible. nb dont let dogs off leads as there are lots of dog thieves.

A man here walks a s.spanial on a lead, with pockets of dog chocs to catch loose dogs that he delivers to rescue kennels & collects commission on them.
