Remember the taxi who ended up giving a news interview by mistake?

Maybe he was only supposed to take the interpreter to the service?

Guy Goma was not a taxi driver, as stated in your link.

He was there for a job interview, and thought it was an unusual assessment until he realised he was on live TV.

It was still very funny, though. I thought he was great.
He got a bit close to Obama, if he was an unknown.
Exactly my thought when I saw him, Hc.....
This is all very strange. How on earth did this chap get the job as Signer, if he managed to make such a horses a**e of it. I have no idea if he made any sense to deaf people or not but nobody has appeared in the media to defend him. Yesterday was a very big event, that must have been planned for ages....how did this happen ?

I really don't understand it at all !
I think it's funny. The nerve!

I think the organisers forgot to organise an interpreter and thought putting him in to pretend was better than admitting their mistake.
Perhaps he was signing in a local dialect....
No he was just a fraud.
