Just thought I'd have a look to see what's going on and was surprised to see that there hasn't been a new post for ~ 4 hours.

What are you all up to?

I'm writing Christmas cards and having to do some serious detective work to work out which of the three change of address notifications for a friend is the most current. A rather late Christmas cake is baking in the oven and my mince meat is made. If the nice delivery chap from Amazon turns up soon I'll finish my present wrapping.

I will then be free to be a social butterfly and catch up with friends and family over the next week before it is nose to the grind stone cooking and preparing for the 'big' day.

Quite frankly I can't be arsed with any of it.

Bah humbug!

This year I've sent ten cards, bought four presents, put no decorations up, made no Christmas cake, pudding or mince pies...and feel totally liberated :)
I will be doing/not doing exactly the same next year too. And the following year, and the next, and....
Bah humbug from me too ;)
Too quiet. Is it the lull before the storm?
Been out with himself and got some more pressies for the sproglets. Now doing some online shopping while I wait for school chucking out time.
We spent the morning at #1 daughter's nativity play. She was a donkey...

Most of the cards are written, about half of the presents are bought, no decorations as yet.

Hoping the kitchen, bathroom, shower-room and utility are finished the refub by Christmas...
Did she get good reviews? Might be the start of a career treading the boards. :-)

I am pleased to say that I have managed to do the vast majority of Christmas shopping on line with just a couple of brief ventures to town for stuff that is too difficult to order on line.

I really, really hate shopping at this time of year. I'm so anti- shopping that I am gradually acquiring all the bits and pieces that I can before Christmas so that the only fresh stuff I need to get is milk and cream.....even then I'll be keeping an eye on long dates to save me the headache of buying milk on Christmas Eve.
Sandy, she sat still, remembered most of the words and actions and managed a smile.

So I would say that reviews are good!

I was amazed at how well behaved they all were, apparently there had been some bribery involving malteasers.

Still don't fell very Christmassy though.
I have assembled a computer chair that I bought for my son only to find the gas lift thingy doesn't work and he is too tall for it. I'm keeping the chair anyway because it makes an ideal chair for me to use at the table with my sewing machine, and it's a nice chair :)

I feel for you 2sp, we're also having work done on the house, if it isn't finished by the middle of next week so that I can get everything straight there will be hell to pay!
Just finished eating spag bol and reluctantly thinking about getting back to work.

I don't send christmas cards and I've not started wrapping, will have to tomorrow for my secret santa... I'm planning to put the tree up at the weekend and am quite excited about it.

Man hostage does cooking, I'm not allowed in the kitchen :c)
