The individual who said it has a track record of deliberately offensive comments and seems to lead a charmed life on this site, whereas others get permanently banned. I find this interesting.

Yes at last. However the same person's post later on in the topic still has the following in it:

'And (name) with her stupid wannabe porno name, is nothing more than a strumpet'

I find it really interesting that this individual is able to get away with this sort of thing on a regular basis and can only assume editorial biais in their favour.

Surely every editorial has a bias? It's simply that perspectives dictate whether you (one) agrees with it or not. There's got to be a balance with policing views and language and even 'the rules' are open to interperatation at times.

Of course report anyone who genuinely offends you, but we don't want the AB to be dull, and sometimes her ladyship has to allow views outside the box, otherwise who would we argue with?

'name calling, harrassement or abuse will not be tolerated' - quote from the Answerbank Site Rules. What is describing someone as a strumpet if not name calling and abuse? My point is not that there should be bland uniformity on the site, it is that people seem to be treated differently - that is simply unfair.
