Well, there is no point in packing up and heading home to Swansea then !

Actually, according to the BBC weather forecast, the sun is going to come out again at about 16:00...just in time for it to get dark again !
We had a touch of rain during the night but not much, no rain or wind here at the moment in mid Wales.
it has just started again here but was raining yesterday evening and intermittently through the night.
Mikey, have you been to the Goonhilly satellite station yet. I went there 25 years ago, totally fascinating!
it's pizzing down at goonhilly ratter but at least he would be inside.
lady-janine, exactly, a bit of rain never hurt anybody though.

Goonhilly is currently closed for refurbishment, although I did go there about 12 years ago. I am an ex-BT Engineer, so found it fascinating.

I did go here last week though :::

Kynance Cove is simply wonderful, and almost unique Geology-wise. Very dog UNfriendly in the summer but not a problem now. Also there is a wonderful cafe at the nearby Lizard Point, that never seem to close and quite likes dogs....Polpeor Cafe.

The Lizard would be wonderful today. I have been there when there have been storms raging and the sea is tempestuous.... I have seen seals thrown in the air by the wind and waves !

Britain has a lot going for it off-season you know. Cornwall is still mostly mild and there are no crowds. Wasn't it Jean Paul Sartre that said "Hell is other people" ?
st ives is good when the weather is bad. you can go into both the shop and the cafe at the tate gallery without paying the entrance fee. the view from the cafe is brilliant. straight across to carbis bay.

if you've got lots of energy left we've still got 14 sleepers to move.
housel is also worth a visit when the tide is out.
