have they actually asked you to give them a figure?
bear in mind that if you are newly qualified or have no experience they will not be expecting a high fee, qualifications are one thing but on the job experience is quite another, but i agree that you should expect more than minimum wage.
i would wait to see their offer - they may offer more than you think.
The publication "Creative Review" regularly advertises vacancies for designers. You can have a look and see if any of the advertised posts match your job description and see the salary ranges offered. It would be hard to give you an exact figure because you don't specify.
A Mac artist with Quark and Adobe skills will be paid less that a designer with the same skills a designer is a good alrounder, for example if your Mac blows up can you create client visuals by hand to the acceptable standard?
