How Do You Vent A 3 Way Valve On The Central Heating Syste?
This time last year had to call out a plumber because of a tapping noise in the radiators. Plumber eventually arrived went to the airing cupboard, looked and listened and said "air lock in the 3 way valve". Failed to see what he did but he resolved the problem. It has now reappeared so, anyone with the info on how/what to do would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I can't think of anything you can do to vent them. I can only assume he opened the valve manually (with the little metal lever on the motor housing).
Maybe by switching it alternately between heating and hot water, it dislodged the air lock.
Sorry not to be of more help.
