Some further news to Ricky's progress. He has regained the ability to swollow :) may not seem like much but it must be a huge step for him and I would imagine a relief too.

Thought those that have been following would like to know :)

Thanks Queenie.

Mic had several MRI scans and CT scans before this infection. It's very daunting though when there is a large sign on his door saying, DANGER of infection KEEP door closed at all times. I'm waiting for them to fumigate his room.

I know how it must make you feel, I have been in isolation before - but you have to know it is nothing you or Mic has done.

I don't mean that literally, But I expect they will at some point. His bedding is put in sealed bags that can be washed in the bag which then disintegrates in the machine. It's like reading history books about Leprosy. Unclean Unclean.

This is the hospitals fault, Jeza, not Mic's.

It is simply because of the resistance the infection has that they have to follow these procedures, don't think of it as 'dirty' - you will drive yourself mad that way.

Jeza, glass half full, dwell on the positives. Don't think for a minute that anyone else notices the procedures put in place because Mic has MRSA, sod 'em. Worry about the big stuff, sod the little stuff, x
