Walking Boots,are The Most Expensive Always The Best

I am looking at buying a pair, but theres so much choice. They start at 25 euros and go up to 179 euros. The pair i quite liked were 120 euros, which i found in the walking section, strange enough, i found another pair very similar for 85 euros, the difference was they were in the hunting section!!
What should i do?
by the way, the shop is decathlon in madrid.

difficult if you are in Spain. Not sure they have Millets, or the other outlets there, and it would be best to buy from the shop where possible.

Ecco walking boots are very good. A bit pricey but worth it.

years ago i bought a pair of brasher boots and have never had a single uncomfortable moment. you have to buy what feels right for you.

Go for Meindl boots.
My gamekeeper son lives in his high legs and people who climb Everest wear them to walk to the base camp.
Cheapest way of getting some? Army surplus - our lads in Afghanistan etc are now issued Meindl boots and Ebay is awash with them.

I have a pair of Decathlon Quechua Forclaz 700's on my feet right now, they are superb, best I've worn in a lot of years. They cost me £99 and are easily as good as the more expensive makes of boot, well worth the money!!

( My last pair were Meindl boots I bought years ago for about £200!)

re: slapshot, just had a look at their website, the forclaz 700 were the boots i tried on the other day, and they're 120 euros now. seemed to be the business

Mine are Brashers and I love them - they`re like slippers. I had a pair of leather Karrimors before that and I lost my toenails after coming down Kilimanjaro as my feet kept slipping to the front. A decent pair of boots won`t be cheap, as anything that is Gore-Tex lined tends to be expensive. You just have to try lots of pairs on before you buy.

237sj, decathlon seems to have zillions of walking boots to choose from, from bottom end to top end. I could buy a pair for as little as 25euros, but will prob go for the slapshot boots.

I asked on a forum based in Spain but they don't seem to be readily available there.
"I have never seen them in any of the sports/gear shops along the Camino, they do not show up on a Google search for Brasher Boots Spain either. I wore a pair on my caminos and found them really great, plenty wide and a roomy toe box. No blisters on either Camino TG. "
