Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Scottish place names;
a} janitor's room b} ankle chain memorial c} mine d} mere
e} fish welcome again and again f} regal / orange segments
Hi,bla....,re clue f the Scots word for an orange segment is lith which sounds like Leith but the clue is plural with a word for regal in front of it.Probably on the wrong track. Is clue c just mine-again thought it might be a place beginning with Pit..
Wharton.I'm giving up on this quiz-for tonight anyway.If c,d and part of e was a clue it could be Pit-loch-ry lol.Hopefully you or someone else can puzzle them out.Ah've a sair heid wi' a' that thinking.
Hey, Thanx for answers, FETTERCAIRN is genius thanx. My pal texted me the clues but didnae put proper spaces in, I think one clue is MINE/MERE/FISH all one clue, sorry about that.
Now,Wharton,I put a question mark after Aviemore - wasn't 100% sure.Thanks for your vote of confidence :-)
By the way,bla....,what was the answer to f?
Hi.bla...,still a bit unsure of f.leaf and lith are Scots words for an orange segment but the clue is plural. Where does regal fit? Could be because the Royal Yacht Britannia is docked in Leith.Maybe I'm on the wrong track.
