14a cootie
4 Rmets (RMETS, really - an abbreviation. It's a society for weathermen - so 'Fish' is Michael Fish!). Someone gave me this answer on Sunday.
2 Droog
Question Author
If Droog (thought it meant sort of thug), then DROO + G - can you please explain the G?
Sorry, I'd misremembered - 2 D was Droob, a weak person. (The 'b' is from bowled).
Question Author
DROOB must be distinctly Aussie as not used in NZ as far as I know
Droop perhaps?
'Bottomless slump' leads to 'droop' without its last letter, 'p' and 'b' for 'bowled' is used in cricket scores/reports.
