There are two processes that are used early in pregnancy.

The first is an oral tablet and pessary which can be used up to nine weeks. The second is the suction method which in basic terms sucks the baby out with some kind of instrument. it's done under either local or genaral anaesthetic and is carried out under 12 weeks.
