hiya every1, i'm currently on maternity leave receiving smp and have decided not to return to work, will i have to pay back my smp? i have worked for my employer for 2 years

Congratulations on your new addition. When my wife was on maternity she got the statutory minimum from her employers. This is the minimum they MUST pay. Anything over and above that is upto them and also if they want it back as you're not going back is sadly also upto them. They can only claim the extra off you. You get to keep the statutory minimum, you'll need it! Great to also know you're staying at home, the little darlings develop much better with mothers help. Just make sure your bloke lets you out with your pals once in a while, you'll need that too!
