Hi everyone.
I am thinking of getting a tablet but don't really know much about them. The main thing I'd like advice on is this: Is it possible to upload photos to a tablet straight from my camera (which uses an SD card for storage) either via a usb port or integral card-reader within the tablet. I have had a quick look at a few tablets and many of them don't have usb ports and seem to have sd mini ports rather than full sized ones.
Any advice would be appreciated-it's so confusing!
Thanks
Maz
I have an iPad mini which I very pleased with. You can get an adapter which has a socket for an SD card at one end and a plug for the iPad at the other. You can then down load photos and indeed videos on to the tablet.
My Wife has a Samsung 8.0 Tablet, I have a Samsung 10.1 Tablet and we are both delighted with them. Yes you can download photographs from your camera or you can download them through a pc.
The Samsung is much less invasive on your laptop than the Apple. We tried both systems and went unanimously for the Samsung.
The video is good on both the 8.0 and 10.1 plus I've installed 64gb mini-sd cards in each! Downloading films etc. is no longer a memory problem!
Enjoy whichever you choose.
Thank you all for your replies-we are going to do more research and try to decide what we really want out of a tablet. The idea was to maybe take one when we go on holiday (we usually take our laptop but obviously a tablet would be lighter!) and as we take literally hundreds of photos, we need to be able to review and store them-hopefully we could do so on a tablet. I have had a look at a Samsung 8-sounds good!
Thanks again for the advice guys
