Great believer that if you need these services you need some kind of insurance to cover their costs, mountain rescue, RNLI that kind of thing, the number of muppets we got on the mountains at home that need airlifted off or "found" is ridiculous... make the beggars pay!!
I ain't that far up country! :o}
I agree with that slappy. The problem is, how many would pay for the insurance?
It would be impossible to make it compulsory. You can't ask them if they are insured before you rescue them. Sadly!
lol. boaty from here anyone beyond truro is upcountry.

in some circumstances i wonder if people are warned enough of the danger they place themselves in. normally intelligent people seem to lose all their grey cells when confronted with more water than they get in a bath.
True LJ. They leave their grey cells at home. they're on holiday, don't see much of the sea.
"Pay up or we'll push you off the cliff"

"Do you take Amex?"

No, I have no issue in rescuing genuine cases, the broken leg, the heart attack, etc - I would like to see a legal case for 'unnecessarily endangering the lives of others' - the problem being that it will always be judgemental but it's in that perhaps the answer lies - the decision to prosecute with the DPP on the balance of the facts presented.
Good plan DT. I like slappy's idea too.
DTC says what I mean, needs to be some come back on those that unnecessarily put the lives of others at risk through their own stupidity
on that happy note it is time for me to go and find nothing to do.

hope you all have a good and enjoy whatever you do. xx

btw it looks dry outside at the moment. not the 49th shade of grey it was yesterday.
Time for me to be venturing into the Little Smoke down here.....have a good day all.
Have a happy day LJ xxxxx

I agree, they should be made to pay for their stupidity. If they knew they were liable to get a big bill they just might think twice. About £600 per hour for a helicopter, must be about the same for a lifeboat. It would certainly sober them up with a bang! :o}
Have a good'un DT. :o}
I'll disappear as well, installing windows 8.1 it's going to tell me to shut everything down shortly!! have a good day folks, catch up soon
Have a good'un slappy. :o}

I've got to shift too.

See you all tomorrow. :o}
Yesterday, in Surrey, it was gale force winds and TORRENTIAL rain all dy. Today, like a lovely Spring Day!!
