I'm really struggling with this, in particular no 46. It merely says "POARD" There are a lot of references to it on this site which I don't understand. Please could someone give me some sort of a clue?

POLLARD is a tree that has been pollarded or trimmed.
Take out 2 LL's ie no L's and you have POARD
So answer could be
Christmas (No L's or Noel) Trees
Legolassie said Looked into pollard regarding trees. Bit tricky it also relates to trimming back horns in oxen, stags and sheep and the dictionary and thesaurus just refer to pruning of trees. So I really don't know on this one. What about Christmas trimming!!!
