Sorry, no question, just to say that my beloved cat Stubby passed away at 4am this morning. He'd had a heart murmur for a while and had spent all week trying to rid himself of a furball, without success. I think the strain was too much for him. I stayed with him for the last three nights whilst he retched and drooled and it has been a terrible time for all. I don't know what I'm going to tell my Dad when he comes out of the hospital.
Sir A - cats are small animals with huge personalities. They have a way of being endearing and yet manage to get their own way most of the time. Worry about yourself, your dad will cope in his way.
Grandma Yiddo - I am sorry to hear about your cat too.
Thinking of both of you and anyone else who has lost a furry loved one recently - a member of your family has died and yet some people come out with the "only a cat/dog/bunny" line. You have my permission to welly anyone who says this. (Not sure if welly is a word outside Scotland).
I am off out to buy roast beef for my two moronic moggies.
Thank you Sir Alec,wolf63 and mccfluff. Only just seen your posts, have been to visit Mum and forgot my I-pad. Ging was only 4 weeks old so the vet said when he was dumped on us. From such a rotten start he lived to just after his 10th birthday. My grandchildren are all upset as he's always been here when they visited. He used to love to pee under my husbands fish tank when the weather was bad outside. Thanks once again.
