Just a bit of fun and best answer for aber who answers both questions at same time

Dobbin the horse is tied to a rope 30ft long the hay is 60ft away,
without stretching or breaking the rope he eats the hay?

A bus driver drives to the bus station 5 miles picks up passengers, his route is 10 miles, he then drives bus to garage 5 miles but his milometer is only showing 15 miles?

I guess the other end of the horse's rope is not tethered, and the bus driver uses his car to drive to the bus station (or otherwise his milometer read 99995 at the start). OK?

The post to which the rope is tethered is midway between horse and hay.

The driver's route starts 5 miles from the bus station, and continues for a further 5, before the final journey to the garage.
