A quiet, tasteful funeral apparently, with just a few criminal and Hells Angels in attendance. Charles Bronson, Britain's most dangerous and violent prisoner sent a bouquet as well !

Only too glad Mrs O. Your namesake used to make my old Mum laugh like a drain !

The one with dyed hair also appears to be wearing a knuckle duster as a pendant, he looks a total plonker.
I very much doubt that anyone 40/50 years after their heyday would look quite as 'ard or 'andy as they once did.

Criminals don't escape the ravages of time any more than the rest of us.

I thought it was an over-large St Christopher prudie ?
That vid was great Mike - it has been ages since I have seen myself on screen
I've had a zoom in Mikey and it looks like a knuckle duster to me :-)

You haven't aged a bit Mrs O !
I expect the photo gallery of the constabulary has been augmented a little. It's no good being a designer criminal if it isn't obvious.
It’s strange that these coves pitched up for the funeral of a small time crook who was not particularly admired, even by his peers.

Biggs was only recruited to “The Big Job” because he told Bruce Reynolds that he could secure the services of a retired train driver. (The gang needed a driver to move the train). Biggs managed to make a cods up of even this small role as the old boy he brought in was not able to drive the loco. This led the gang to have to get the badly injured driver Mills to move the train and had he been unable to do so because of his injuries the entire job would have been a failure.

“Moths to a flame” is about the only way to describe why these fine, upstanding members of society should choose to grace such an inauspicious occasion, and why others unable to attend for various reasons felt the need to send their respects.
even the Kray gang had some Mummy's boys didnt they.

nothwithstanding if you called one of the terrible twins a poof, you got shot.
I met Frankie Fraser many years ago, not in a "professional" capacity I hasten to add. His criminal career was long past him, but he really did have that "don't mess" look!
Jeffa he had that 'mad' look
which was why he was also called 'Mad' Frankie Frazer

and yeah I agree the madlook came out on teevee
With regard to the Kray twins, a lot of women students had their digs and flats around Violet Kray's flat-because notoriously (?) there was absolutely not trouble thereabouts

and Vi Kray was really nice apparently
