Why are there 64 Wet Wipes in a pack?

I expect it's related to how the machinery divides up specified lengths of textile, folds and stacks them. A big piece of paper folded repeatedly would theoretically yield 64 sections

Because it's a nice round number (in binary notation, namely 1000000)
Saves you having to buy 2 boxes if there were only 32 in each.
Perhaps there were 65, and you used one?
what would you like there to be? Must say I never count them as they come out....
For the same reason as packets which used to contain 500g now contain 450g!
Snot normal to count ,em!
It is a strange number for the main manufacturers to have settled on (number is printed on pack) a quick email would likely elicit a response.
A lad I dated told his Mum that Swan Vesta was offering a prize for anyone finding exactly 46 matches in a box......she bought and counted endless boxes before the light dawned....☺☺
