LA Fitness 6 months free, is it a good deal?

Hi everyone,
A group of us are looking at joining a gym but cost is a primary factor for us. LA Fitness is doing a 'buy 6 months get 6 free' deal, but I'm wondering if there's a catch? Like maybe it's an 18 month total contract, so you still pay a lot after 12 months.

Also, if it is only a 12 month contract, do you then have to pay the full whack or do they offer deals to existing customers to keep them?

How good is LA Fitness in general?

im at la fitness its ok for what i want .i dont know about the 6 months free what does it say on web site .

Website says when you buy 12 months, you get 6 months free. So I don't know if 12 of those six months are free, or if it's an 18 month contract that has six free.

Sounds too good. Pay six months and then get the next 6 months free? Go for it but dont be tricked into sigining another deal at the end as you can cancel any time you like after that.. You must remember to cancel your direct debit.. Check the small print. You might be committed to another twelve month contract.

Sorry, that got posted by mistake. What it means is you sign a twelve month contract and then you get another six monhts free. You can cancel any time you like after that.
