Faulty Plasma Tv

Can anyone advise me whether the problem with my plasma tv turning red is caused by a faulty HD lead. On occasions the tv is ok for a day or so then suddenly goes red and sometimes then goes blank with just the sound working. When I turn the tv off and on it sometimes comes back on perfectly normal and on others red or partly red and clears.

My tv is connected to a virgin HD box by HD lead.

Any help will be appreciated.

That sounds very much like a faulty screen, that's what happens.
