Where is the video file - on a camera? already stored on your computer? I'm guessing it's on your camera and like the program is saying, it basically needs to take smaller bites.
For larger video files you need to use a dedicated program such as pinnacle and they are a complete ache from start to finish.

The file is in my videos folder. I downloaded videos from my Samsung Xacti and I think it is a file saved when I joined several separate videos together on Movie Maker. I just cannot open it to find out.
You could try opening it in another program and if necessary using that program to chop it into suitable edits.
VLC media player is a free download that might help.
