At long last kitchen started from yesterday but am looking for above only like a stainless steel grill effect.

Can't seem to find them anywhere. Thanks for any answers.

Loads of plain stainless steel worktop protectors on eBay, conne - but what do you mean by a Grill Effect? Are you looking for metal or plastic?

Not sure why you need protectors although I guess it depends on what worktops you're having, I don't need any on mine, I can put a hot pan straight on to them.

Boxtops - thank you - that is the one. I understand where you come from but because I am newly fangled just want to be on the safe side - I do have a glass one from yonks. And I am very careless into the bargain.

no ummmm - granite was £1,000 more and too much hassle to put in etc but this is nice what I have picked - was pretty expensive too. God I am so excited!! Washing machine is in altho not plumbed - Boy the drum is massive - will be able to wash bl dy duvets - may take in washing and ironing LOL

My worktop is heat proof. You can put pans straight from the hob onto it.

I put granite inserts made from an old worktop either side of our stove, theyonly cost £40 to have cut to size and polished. They work a treat.

Well, Anne - kitchen fitter's dad has been brilliant - all the units more or less have been assembled etc - I would think Tuesday - however, kitchen fitter and his dad have heard a "hissing" sound from pipes in kitchen - some weeks ago my sister heard it and my friend but they couldn't detect where it was coming from - water is leaking down the pipe. Thank God they have got it in time. My nephew (plumber) coming in the morning to look and hopefully fix it.

well was going through some things that kitchen fitter pulled from unknown realms and I have found 3 silicone protectors - rubber on one side and like foil on the other - God you never know what you have. Don't have to buy them after all.
