domestic gasw unit conversion

My gas meter records gas used in cubic feet. My energy supplier bills me on Kilowatt hours consumed.


Can anyone help with the conversion formula?

Multiply the amount used in 100's Cubic Feet by 31.3..........answer is KWH


ie 300 Ft� = 93.9 KWH

Maany thanks Nautilus, as I suspected my consumption is being overstated.
Why not ask the supply company to tell you how they work this out, they probably get asked every day and may have a standard hand-out for that purpose.
