Poll

Can we have a poll, with a permanent record that determines how individuals would deal with those carrying out vile crimes. It would save a lot of typing and may even increase the work output of the nation so taxes don't have to go up. The categories could be

- torture them for eternity

-torture them and let them die

- just kill them

- stick them in a big pit

- let qualified professionals decide how to deal with it

- give them a council house and benefits

I am not trying to belittle serious discussion or opinion, it's just that it is the same opinion over and over again.

Sweetie, if we were all of the same opinion there would be no point of a poll, and as you say, you are not trying to belittle serious discussions and opinions but it's just the same opinion over and over again, do any of us change our take on things?

Asci (if I may call you that), if you trawl through the news category then you will see the usual suspects proclaiming consistent views on all matters relating to punishment. I guess it is like an election in the US, 80% of those bothering to vore will always vote the same way, so you need to capture the majority of the floating 20% to win. However, when it comes to punishment, the only variable seems to be how the guilty will be dispatched. T'was just a thought after a long day (it's a whole lot later here that the AB clock suggests)

Trotbot - I see where you are coming from.I have suggested on a couple of occasions that we have a debating section which would encompass

1 -Capital Punishment

2-Racism

3- Muslims

News then would be freed up for - guess what News:)

I am reluctant at times to post because it almost always goes off thread to cover the above.
