Although one might think the information exists, such is the state of affairs that it is almost certain it is inaccessible within the system and even if it were accessible those with access to it would refuse to divulge it on the grounds that they are not allowed to under the laws on data protection. Though a good many will still be on the register that have been scrapped or thrown into the ship canal without the DVLA being notified. Can you really imagine Ronnie Biggs writing to the DVLA to tell them that the 1962 Ford Thames he used had been burnt out when he finished with it?
