Scarborough And Status Quo

Son and daughter in law have just called with my birthday present. 2 tickets to see Status Quo in Scarborough Open Air Theatre in July! Can't wait. So what I'd like to ask of fellow ABers is first hand knowledge of somewhere nice to stay.

Ha ha Elvis. I haven't had to pay to go to Cheltenham for ages! We've only been to the festival once, and then we were in the trainers tent which is right down the end where they come out of the paddock, with a free bar of course!!! Normally we go in October. My friends's newest horse, Colin's Brother ran for very first time a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't placed.

I've vowed never to go the festival again unless I'm in one of the boxes, it'll happen one day and I'll invite you x

I was given tickets to see them for my b/d when I worked in Abu Dhabi about 15 years ago.
The venue was in the grounds of a large hotel and it had been raining heavy in the morning.
They didn't even get through their first number as they were getting electric shocks from their equipment, and the gig was cancelled.

What a bummer!
