Why not drop a hint to your friend and ask her what she uses to get rid of the cigarette smell in her guest room as the bed is now stinking you out of house and home !
Cigarette smells are notoriously difficult to remove from fabric which you can't wash. I can only suggest possibly spraying it with an anti-tobacco air freshener.
Using an aromatherpy oil burner with a lavender oil will help remove the smell. If you don't need to use the bed for a while, possibly a hired steam cleaner (the type used to clean carpets & upholstery) might also remove the worst of the odour.
If it bothers you, put it down to experience, and don't lend anything like that to a smoker ever again.
