Last week, Mrs Clarion came in with a large bag of goodies. When I asked what they were, she said Christmas presents for next year. Well, this year I suppose. Can you beat that? And last night she was writing christmas cards whilst watching BB upstairs. Is it me?
I can understand people buying prezzies throughout the year, and indeed wrap, new decs and cards in the sales, but I do not understand writing the cards in January; I too would question whether she is feeling well, and I really don't mean that in a flippant way. It strikes me as quite odd.
A friend of mine who has to count the pennies always does her Christmas shopping in the January sales. It would worry me that come Christmas it would be far to late to exchange presents if there was anything wrong with them!
No. Part of me wants to say that's ridiculous, but then, she getting it all out the way early and won't have that panic later in the year that many of us will .have
I'd probably ask her why she's doing it so early, she's probably got a perfectly logical and sensible reason (we all do when we're doing something baffling to others), but it is rather unusual taken at just face value.
