Winter Games Day -19

I know that not everyone is happy with Sochi hosting the Games.

During the bidding process, the final three candidates were Sochi, Salzburg, and some place in South Korea.

Obviously ... it should have gone to Salzburg. Like ... DUUUH !!!!

But South Korea marginally got the most votes, just ahead of Sochi. Salzburg were eliminated, with the whole of the winter sports world going ... What? Seriously?

On the final vote, the Salzburg votes mostly transferred to Sochi.

So ... here we are ... the countdown to Sochi.

OMG, it was so exciting when Amy Williams won Gold four years ago.

I'd forgotten about the Canadians building a track to favour themselves, not allowing us very many practice runs, and then Amy beat Melissa Hollingsworth in her own back yard.
