For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The River Shannon in the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND. I is NOT in "Southern" Ireland being in Central Ireland. When dim-wits refer to "Southern Ireland" as being that part of Ireland which is not Northern Ireland just remember that the northernmost part of Ireland is in that part which they call "Southern".
Alright Lingam to keep you happy I will refer to Southern Ireland as The Republic but every reference to the River Shannon On Google is listed as the longest River in the British Isles.I also take great offence to being called a dimwit.Very rude.!!! We have had nasty remarks like this before and got rid of the person involved. This Answer Bank is for enjoyment.
Don't worry about it, Patsyann. The word 'lingam' is Sanskrit for the penis, so I'm sure you can think of a nickname for the provider of the response after yours above!
The answer is definitely the Shannon. Although Eire, The Republic of Ireland, Southern Ireland or whatever else one chooses to call it is not in Britain, it IS in the British Isles. The Severn is the longest in Britain.
