Sony Ericsson P900 mobile phone ,used in Mexico

Not being a mobile phone boff .Does anyone know if the above mobile will work from Mexico to the UK,trying to get this advice from Orange is proving a bit difficult at the moment.
Any advice would be great.

firstly if the mobile is pay as you go you need to have credit in it so you can receive calls whilst in mexico. as you will be charged for receving a call.
also the person phoning you shall be charged.
best thing to do is buy a sim card whilst in mexico and use that.
some sim cards bought have credit on them maybe 10 - 15 pounds or equivelent.
