how many would you drink per day viv, do they in fact give you energy ?
they might for a little while - but like alcohol you crash and burn, a high, then a very low low, lots of sugar will do that...
anne I drink loads of the stuff, probably three cans a day, every day. I just like the taste, I buy a tropical one and it's lovely chilled from the fridge. I need a lot of energy with a young 'un, but I don't know if it gives me energy, as I say, I just like the taste.
I always tried to discourage my kids from drinking them, and when they where about 10 (7 years ago)we where out shopping and they asked for them as they where on offer (I trained them to be bargain hunters from an early age!)I refused, and they where most put out when the person in front of us at the checkout gave her kid one.......the kid was still in a buggy for goodness sake!!!

I have recently converted to sugar free fizzy drinks, but think I have grown up at last-there is still a bottle of Pepsi in the kitchen from last year, and have a large collection of cans my daughter has given me,I just haven't the heart to tell her I don't drink them any more, she gets them for me to cheer me up,bless.

I keep some in the car for when I've got a long journey ahead of me (and that I'm already tired). For example I'll be getting just after 4am on Thursday (having probably not slept much in a hotel) to work outdoors from 5.30am to 8.00pm. I'll then have a drive of between 2½ and 3 hours home from there. I'll definitely consume a couple of cans of energy drink before driving and then stop on the way back for some additional sugar and caffeine!
No
No (unless they buy them when they're out)
It once came in handy during a night drive to Scotland, was beginning to flag a bit on the M6 near Brum about 1am ish. But that is the only reason I would use one, pretty much as a medicene.

Got no idea why kids quaff large amounts of the stuff - surely they should have enough natural energy and it should be the old folk who are in need of it! lol!
because I get cramp in my feet during exercise, my doctor suggested I drink one of these every time I exercise, ( which is not as often as it might be ). However, I think I am caffeine resistant, since I can drink strong coffee immediately before bedtime, and still sleep like a whole pile of logs.
The cramp might be slightly better since using these drinks, but that's not a very scientific experiment.
