glasto 2007 what are we fighting for??

there was a song on at glastonbury, by soem american country/folk singer playing an acoustic guitar. The lyrics went something like "one, two, three, four, what in the world are we fighting for? five, six, seven, next stop purly gates....next stop vietnam" or something like that. I wud RELI love to know who that artist is, and the song titale if ne1 knows it, thanks.

"I Feel Like I'm Fixing To Die Rag" by Country Joe & The Fish is widely regarded as one of the highlights of Woodstock. I didn't see the Glastonbury performance, but if the singer was getting on a bit, it could well have been Country Joe McDonald himself. Now 65 years of age, he's still touring and played the Isle of Wight festival this year - I wasn't aware he had been at Glastonbury too.
