I have my coal delivered in plastic bags which are heavy to load into a smaller bucket to take indoors, especially when they are wet.I'm hoping someone has seen in a DIY mag somewhere a simple homemade coal dispenser made in wood.so that I only have to lift the bag once to load into the dispenser. If you have seen something like this or can describe it to me I would be grateful.Thanks.

We used to have a coal bunker many years ago and I would like to keep away from that idea.I was thinking along the lines of a "wheel-less" wheelbarrow,so once loaded you just tip it up and the coal slides into a bucket. Thanks for your reply.Just wanted the idea refined a bit.
How about an old cement mixer? They have a wheel on the side making the bucket easy to tip.

It wouldn't look very nice beside your hearth, either :-) (sorry, cods)
