Ricoh Theta 360 Photography Tool
7 Answers
There is a device called the Theta 360 which takes spherical images which looks pretty cool. I like the idea of this but in no way want to pay £330 asking price.
Is there a cheaper alternative or an app that does the same thing?
Thanks

Nevertheless, is this the sort of app which you have in mind and which you can download for free from Amazon. :-

^^^ Sorry for my error. The app is downloaded from Amazon at a small cost of £1.68, but the additional item which you would then require is a free download from Microsoft :-

G'afternoon Zacs........I am open to further correction. :-)
The method which I have suggested would produce a 360 deg Panorama but would Not produce the type of image which results from a 'Fish Eye Lens'.
I don't know if you have clicked onto the photographs in my first posting. They are worth looking at and activating the forward arrow to go around in a circle.

No need Zacs to have apologised, because we are really in full agreement. I also think that £330 is a ridiculous price for a gimmick. In fact, when I was really into photography and a member of a Camera Club (many, many years ago) I never liked the spherical images which other folk also considered were just distorted photographs.
Sorry BBB, if my comments prove to be somewhat unhelpful.
