not sure what section to put this one in ! Have an 11 year old daughter who is scared to go away on the school trip for a week, incase she is having her period at that time (in the summer). She usually has very bad tummy pains, feels ill, and is quite heavy too. Would the doctor give her something to delay it until she comes home, if it was due at the time ? (We might be lucky and she might finish just before she goes away)

I cannot answer for another doctor, but i would give her a pill to delay her period.

Ask your GP.
You can get pills to delay, but it is heavier afterwards.

Thank you, would it be ok for an 11 year old ?
I don't see why not. It would only be a one off thing.
Or....
My GP put me on the mini-pill when I was 12 to combat extremely heavy and painful periods. Maybe something else you could consider if her periods are that bad.
