Problems With Home Shopping Catalogue
In December 2012 I sent back 2 items to home shopping catalogue as they were not as described so I sent them back using one of there services the royal mail. Some time later they contacted me to say the items had not been received so I sent them a photocopy of the receipt the post office gave me. I was told it was no good as never had barcode on I explained this is all was given some time after many e mails I was told to send them my original receipt which I did by recorded post and they received the following day. I was then told that I would have to make a claim myself for there lost, I contacted them over the past 10 months telling them that I can not do this as they have my receipt and only ever get back from them is make a claim myself and to this day they still have my receipt. I contacted royal mail and was told the 80 days have gone and the company should contact them but they are not bothered and just repeat themselves and say have claim myself. The items were buy now pay later and now they are adding over the top charges to my account for non payment. I was told to check to see if I had signed a credit agreement which I received the other day and it was blank had no signature on it. Also my account in march 2006 and have heard that due to this it is not enforceable as the credit agreement act changed. Please advice as very worried about this. Its not a case of trying get out of applying for items but the fact that I returned then and have done all I could to resolve this even being silly enough to send them my original receipt.
