I never mind about the weather. I'm sorry for people who are flooded, just a few miles down the road from me. Their hearts must sink at the sight of dark clouds. But otherwise, rain doesn't bother me at all.

Think how lucky we are we could have been buried in snow if the weather patterns had followed the usual trends & we had followed the US weather pattern.

Prefer rain to snow ! Couldn't stand being snowed in for days with no power again....happened two successive years....not good !

Murrymints, I am on the Isle of Wight, we have a lot of standing water and rivers flooding but nothing like those poor souls in Somerset.

TWR , in answer to your original post I didn't ever realise just how dark damp weather gets me down, until the sun comes out .

It's quite nice here today bright and and only 1/8 cloud, a bit nippy though just 6C.

Might go for a wander around the garden to see what's going on out there and top up the bird feeders.

Yes it gets me down as does never being in the house in daylight during the working week. It must be a sign of age, I don't remember these dark wet winters when I was a child.

No, the weather never gets me down, but its been a nice, sunny and very mild winter so far so i have no complaints. I just hope we dont pay for it later and we get snow! On our local news last week they said it has been the mildest winter so far since 2002.
