Why Does She Randomly Quit During Sex?

Just recently started a relationship with a great woman only problem is when we make love she just randomly stops. So we end up laying there for a while then get back down to business. The sex is great, she has no inhibitions, she isn't self conscious but having had sex several times now we've only "gone all the way" once. Any ideas, maybe the ladies on here might have a clue?

some people take and give pleasure without getting that far, sqad - interim arrangements can be very agreeable.
Andy is right though. A good sex life takes time.
^^lol^^ sqad
We are guessing - what do you mean by stops? She says stop or just lies there motionless? Does she say anything?
I don't usually talk about things like this, but if you're just pumping away it can get a bit tedious. She might almost want a book to read over your shoulder.
Yes some men are like 'jack rabbits' lol!!
Sqad - "andy.......has any of your women ever said to you...."For God's sake stop yacking and get on with it?".............;-)"

First off, thanks for using the plural there - means a lot!

Secondly, my partners have all been well-mannered - it's rude to talk with your mouth full!
andy...LOL.....LOL....excellent reply........LOL

Jeeze...opened up a real can of worms here haha.
1) The sex is good for both of us.
2) We are both completely relaxed and enjoy it.
3) We have both reached orgasm.
4) She is very adventurous in bed so its not about positions.
I am going to ask her about it but the reason I posted the dilemma was to try and maybe get a females perspective as to whether it is a common practice. But I really do appreciate everyones comments so far, thanks.
Crafty..........well that is just perfect.

I wouldn't even bring up the subject......if it ain't broke it don't need mending.
crafty, in view of your latest post - what do you mean, then, that she "stops"? If you're both coming to climax.... stops what?
You ain't doing it right, brush up on your technique

If you were really doing it for her then she wouldn't want to stop
...aw JL - perhaps it's been that good, she's just had enough. It's very tiring, you know...
Boxy, lol

To be serious though a woman is constantly stopping during sex that can only lead to the man getting mighty frustrated
well crafty has said they both climax so I'm none the wiser about what 'stopping' means. From a female perspective maybe once she's done she's thinking either hurry up or get off.
\\\\\just randomly stops. So we end up laying there for a while then get back down to business. \\\\

Ah! Crafty, I have got it now.

She wants a longish session and she enjoys the foreplay which is brought to a halt when she "cums" ( I hate that word climax, it sounds like a washing powder).....so, before she crosses that line and becomes uncontrollable, she lays back until the need to cum wears off and then she starts all over again.

I have come across this in women, experienced women, on occasions and you both are exhibiting a high class of sex.........don't change it.

The number of times that we do go all the way to climax is relatively short compared to the times that "stops" as in end the love making. Anyway I asked her last night and she said everything is great but she wants the relationship to be based on more than just sex. Thats fair enough I think. I suppose I really ought to start worrying when she doesnt want sex at all. Thanks for all the contributions guys.....
Interesting thread, crafty - I for one am glad you felt able to ask her - good luck to the both of you :-)
I just love rowanwitch's ..."linger in the shrubbery"!
