I was holidaying in Spain very recently, great sunny weather, luxury hotel, but found myself looking forward to getting home to log on to AnswerBank and find out what everyone was talking about. Missed you guys! Am I just strange or does anyone else confess to being addicted to AnswerBank?
I know exactly how you feel. After spending a week in the Canaries recently, the very first thing I did on returning was to log on to AB. What a muppet I am!
At least you recognise a possible problem. There are others who seem to do nothing else but trawl this site showing how clever they think they are. I experimented by randomly picking topics from the main menu and these same people kept appearing. They shall remain nameless but the poor sad people know who they are. they need help!
I only go on this site for specific info on one or two clues, almost always for the sunday express skeleton; otherwise I too would end up addicted...however I will quickly check to see if i can help anyone with their unsolvables - it's only fair to help someone else if you also have received help (please note i am not a christian!!) And now i log off....adios!
Thanks, Everyone, for your replies. Yeah, I must try to get a life, tho' it may be a bit late now......!
I learn so much reading all the Answers you clever folk give to various queries so QUICKLY that you must have huge encyclopaedic knowledge. Usually there are already half a dozen answers to specific questions by the time I've checked into Google, Ask Jeeves or whisked through my E. Britannica.
Good luck with the comps. to one and all.
Snow in March - so where's all this supposed global warning when you need it, eh?
Oh yeah, we're sure you did, Davidicus. (smirks cynically).
It that's true, we'll have to start an AnswerBank Anonymous group to get us some help. But of course it all depends where the free holiday was... like, if the offer was say, news reporting in a war zone, or trekking across the Sahara, well I can understand you'd rather stay with us. Safety in numbers, right?
