You know how when you're young you 'hate'certain things but as you get older you, kinda, grow into them.eg,girls, mustard, classical music.
Well,to that end,I listened to H&B on the radio, this morning.Blimey, what a racket. My eardrums are aching.is there anyone out there who can stand them?

Lol....xx
I liked them in small doses and they were way way before David Wallaims character "I'm a laideee" in Little Britain.
Sadly one of them is now trilling at afternoon tea parties up there with the big man now....
I thought that their Radio series was very funny indeed. The BBC should repeat them more often.
.

God are they still around ?

I feel like that with Dick Emery - even tho the prisoner of war sketches are based on the stories my Dad told him...

good luck
I loved dear ladies. Which one used to make the funny noise breathing on her glasses when cleaning them?
mikey - the radio series are repeated regularly on Radio 4 extra and one is currently on at 5pm Monday/5am Tuesday http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00ffvxj/broadcasts/upcoming
Patrick Fyfe played the female inpersonator in the Steptoe And Son film.

I loved H & B - wonderful voices.
Oh yeah Andy!!!

That was on the other night too, the Steptoe film, and after you saying that, I really did have a "of course!" moment :-)
Thanks bibs...I have heard them all before but they are certainly worth watching again.
Sorry, just realised only one of them wore glasses. Well it was a long time ago!
