Driving Licence Renewal Application

1 question, when filling in the form, under current address, do i put my uk address or the address of a mates house where all my post usually goes? i ask because it might cause confusion, especially as they ask how many years have you been living there.

well, as neither of those are your current address, i'd say neither. If you don't live here, you can't apply for a uk DL surely?

looks like your correct, as after trying to fill a form in, i was told i´m not elligible for a d.licence

piggy...as you know all exPats who live abroad give Sky a fictitious UK address, hence i cannot see why you don't use your mate's address for your UK DL, or your own for that matter..
How will the DVL know?

well you were right, i could´ve offered false info, but didnt like the bit where they threatened you with a 1000quid fine, or a custodial sentence. Anyway i really wanted the licence for more than one reason, apart from driving, it would´ve been proof of my flat ownership when trying to to complete a bank mandate, it would be pretty useless with my mates address on the licence. oh well thats life, cheers anyway sqad
