my schnauzer bitch has developed warts on her back. They do not bother her but are unsightly. I am not keen to have excised as she is 10 years old...
any tips gratefully received.
What does your vet say? "Warts" may mean benign growths or it may mean definitely unbenign growths. The dog is ten, just the age when tumours of both kinds appear.
Our dog had a wart on the top of his head. We didn't have it removed as he was getting older, but the wart just became bigger and he kept rubbing it until it bled. Wish we'd had it done when we first noticed it.
many thanks to you all. I shall take Poppy to the vet....my imagination runs riot when anything happens to my dogs !! My other bitch has recently had a fatty cyst removed from her tummy.....for days I worried it was cancer....better make an appointment....
hi Lankeela...The dogs have just been groomed this morning...the wart is visible but not very much...As they are due for their annual booster in may, I shall wait until then , thus avoiding another - costly - consultation.....shall post the result .....
