Daughter In Law
9 Answers
The lovely mum of our only grandchild has recently been left by my son. No complaints as to the way he's acting (apart from leaving her that is), signed the house over to her, paying over £1,000 per month for his child. Looks after the child between 2 - 4 days/nights per week. Divorce nearly finalised. Is she still my daughter in law? Hope so. Love her. And I think she loves us.... we help as much as we can, i.e. look after our grandchild 1 day per week, overnight when our son can't, and any other day as required. She does make a 'fuss' of us when we appear and our grandchild is everso glad to see us. Though we do spoil the child I admit... but then, that's our job as grandparents.

Daughter in law or not,Its lovely that you can all still get on.
Mr S and I both managed this with our In laws from our first marriages, his MIL used to come over to Wales to spend the weekend with us, she thought the world of him, sadly she passed away before christmas, she was a lovely lady.
We have both been up to Yorkshire to stay with my other in laws and had a great time.
Life is so much happier and a lot easier when people get on with each other. X X
