Does anyone remember a chewing gum which used to taste of germolene? Any ideas of the name?

Thanks in advance,

was it bubbleicious? or bubbly? or something like that?
was it teaberry ... hint of cloves etc?
The gum you're thinking of was the gum included in bubblegum card collections. As I recall you'd get four or five cards and a sliver of germolene flavoured gum in a pack.

The collections I remember were "The Man From Uncle", "Batman" and "American Civil War News".

They were originally produced in the US by Topps, and produced in the UK by A & BC.

And the cards are available on eBay, but not the gum!
Im almost sure it was Bazooka but i could be wrong. I remember the comic strip in the wrapper but dont recall the transfers

My personal favourite was Space Dust, lol
This has been bugging me all night. :)

I think we're gonna have to buy them all and try them out until we find the one.

I searched for about an hour last night trying to find it, although it doesn't help with your question, Brooke Bond, i did find this site on my travels. Brings back a lot of memories.

wow - so many answers! i'm going to have to try all the chewing gum you've all suggested just to rule them out. Thanks everybody and please remember to tell me if you ever find it for definite

Thanks,

they dont make the original flavoured bazooka anymore so if it is that one i guess youll never know! I did read somewhere (during my research, lol) that the germolene flavour is supposed to be root beer flavour which is american, not sure if that helps in your quest or not!

it was just called a bubbly and we kids called it a 2p bubbly cos that's what they cost! still available in some shops here in n.ireland!
Corrr really gonzo?

Will you send me some, I loved em!

This time I really will try to refrain from slapping the transfers on my mates foreheads, I promise!
usually they've gone all hard cos the shop has had them for years! last time i ate one, i done a filling bigtime! if i can find a fresh batch, you'll be the first to know! :)
if it was not dentyne then it was bazooka i loved it too, but tell me how do we know what germoline tastes like?!!! I never tasted it!!! I just loved the smell and imagined thats what the chewing gum tasted like.
I most certainly remember germoline chewing gum. It was none of the others mentioned here. I've asked a few others in work and they also remember it.
I got to this question by googling the words "germolene chewy". I am in the same position as you ........ I can remember what it looked like, I can almost smell & taste it. I just cannot remember what it was called ! The smiley faces were definitely in there............ and it's definitely not anything that anyone has suggested on this thread !
Stimarol and Dentine are chewing gum, not bubble gum. I remember buying the Germolene bubblies for 1 pence - came with a tattoo. Lovely tasting. Stimarol is lovely too.
They were called Double Bubble they were 2p with a 90s rave face tattoo inside them :)
The name was double bubble it cost 2p it had a 90s rave face for a tattoo :)
Double Bubble 2p and had a 90s rave face, and it used to take your mum hours to scrub it off with the name brush. So I shoved it on my tongue hehe
It was called Dubble Bubble It was pink with a little comic story wrapped around it. Dentyne was much later and more of a cinnamon flavour than Germoline.
