Flippin' Floodin' Furious
37 Answers
Although not close to a river I am threatened by flooding.
I was planning a couple of days away but have cancelled as I don't want to leave my home unattended.
The response I've received from a very old friend has really pee'd me off and I'm trying very hard not to respond with a whole hearted honest opinion to her comment about how I've inconvenienced her.
Please either offer calming words or preferably pithy responses to send her!

Just give it a couple of days, concentrate on what you need to do at home to get sorted and you never know, she might call up tomorrow apologise to you.
sorry to hear this eccles. of course, you must stay at home and take all the care you can. you might not get flooded but maybe a neighbour whom you can help. suggest you tell your "friend" you are very sorry but filthy flood water takes precedence over anything she can offer. if she's not having her or nails done perhaps she could come and help you or elderly neighbours. after moving the furniture she could open a soup kitchen to make sure they have something warm to eat and drink.
hope it doesn't come to the worst. xx
maybe gness could visit her in your place. that will cheer her up. (when she leaves)
