On ipad Mini and Samsung Galaxy Fame phone. I have been shown how to 'swipe from the side' to delete web pages etc and I presume clear space but I obviously didn't take enough notice and now I don't know how to do it. Can someone help please for both ipad and phone ? Tia

If you are trying to clear Bookmarks or Reading List (icon top left nearest address box) click edit at the bottom and swipe away. To clear favourites click on from drop down box and same click edit and swipe.
On the Samsung I have, if it is similar, I merely have to make a long press on the large key to bring up a list of stuff I've done. Then to remove from memory I use my finger to swipe the screen effectively dragging that application off. Must be much the same for you ?
Or do you mean, close apps? If so double click on the bottom button, all the open apps will show up, just swipe them upwards and they disappear.
That's for the iPad, don't know about your phone.
